as you may or may not know, Corriere della Sera is the most famous italian newspaper worldwide (more than 2.400.00 results in 0.12 seconds from Google). recently, i came to discover it has become one of the most popular triple x site for people who do not want, or simply can not, or even do not know that they’ld like to, surf more explicit pages. You can find all sorts of naked women, pictured in various positions (do you prefer the seaside languid close-ups? or do you have a taste for vintage shots of young celebrities?) . You can find detailed report about mundane events (Erotica 2007, one above all). You can indulge in unnecessarily detailed news about perverted murdered or masochist professors. Finally, you can watch a 3 minutes video of Paris Hilton taking a bath in her brazilian wax only. What did trigger my discovery? well, honestly, i looked for it. I am not denying that I click on a headline “Paris hits again. the naked video on YouTube”: of course i watch, it’s inviting. Yet I am the reader, not the writer. Yet, i am 23 (jesus, i wrote 22 in first place!getting older..) . Yet, if there would have been something easy but dressed up, i’ld have probably clicked all the same. It goes like this with naked women: you don’t look for them, but if they are there, why not?
Unfortunately, what the corriere does not understand, is that as a newspaper it should provide good information, with a moral content. I do profoundly disagree with what someone from the corriere replied to my complainsts. He said that the newspaper should cover the society 360°. serious and light things alltogether. I say that the corriere should recognize its educative role in the society. the myth of the neutrality of information is widely overcome. It is not the case that the newspaper can publish whatever and the reader can choose: why is there a complete coverage of next year calander and no news about recently published books? an example so to speak.
So please Corriere take your role in the society. Or, alternatively, upload some naked guys as well, i am honestly fed up with women.
