the indie music is not all about music, but it represents much of our generation. a quiet one, totally not presumptuos, almost always hitting the right strings. but maybe not self confident enough, and surely not inclined in taking risky decisions. a quiet life, as the one told about in the movie Once, from which the song is taken. it is easy to stay trapped in an everyday of repetitions, old habits, lovers that now we are used to. it is also sweet to indulge in the thought that life has been unfair with us, giving no real chances to step out of the intellectual and emotional misery we ourselves forced us into. but new actions are always available, new and better persons to meet with are just very close to us. sometimes, the smaller the distance between the dusty habits and new adventures, the more we fell tied to what we are. so it goes in the movie. if only we were braver.
